Commissar (plastic Baneblade Commander mini)

hey CMON...

here\'s a mini i painted a few months ago, and have been, unsuccessfully, tryin\' to photograph well for too long...

i figure it\'s time to show him off, and sell him, while the Imperial Guard is still the hot new thing...

the highlights on the reds refuse to show up, and the blue-grey tone on the greatcoat is lost in the pics...
hopefully the Lord Commissar i\'m paintin\' right now will photograph better...

this was my first time usin\' the Dragon Forge Designs bases...
his wasteland series have some cool trench plank features...

anyway, i present the entirely plastic Commissar...
once again, painted with P3 paints...

not bad. df\'s bases are awesome but the best imo are the tech deck - so sharp!

is he a convo?

only thing i would add would be some edgehighlights on the red. it would really make it pop

Nice work. Reminds me I need to break out my Last Chancer\'s and finish at least one set of them. lol

@freak: believe me, bro, the sharp edge highlights are there on the reds...

i have had no luck gettin\' this guy to photograph right...
i\'ve lost the reds, and the blue-grey on the coat...

he\'s not a conversion...
he\'s the plastic commander from the baneblade box...

Looking good Jah.

As far as the photography goes, it looks like the blue background may be eating up a lot of the light that would otherwise enable the details to show much better. You should give it a try on something more neutral like a gray.
