Commission: Nurgle Troll Unit WIP

As part of the vast nurgle army I am creating for a valued friend and customer I am currently working on nurgle trolls. If you have any suggestions please let me know Pictures came out a bit dark though. Enjoy!

Pretty good trolls, the blending is smooth and I like the colours. I just think you could paint the inside part of their ears with a flesh colour (that you could mix to your green tint) to give a contrast on the mini.

Looks good. Very characterful.

I think it might be nice to try to draw the viewers eye more towards the heads though, make them stand out a bit more. Cheelfy's suggestion might just do that. Or, maybe you could make the helmets/faceplates "pop" a bit more with another highlight or by making the metal of the helmets just slightly brighter than the metal of the shoulderplates etc.

Might just be the picture playing tricks though


(Edit) Side-Note: I reckon the new river trolls would make a good base for Nurgle trolls. And btw, anyone else noticed how the new river trolls have the same poses as the old metal ones?

Thanks for the feedback! I see what you mean about the ears and the heads I think I will repaint them so that the shading is warmer in color and not go so dark either. I actually tried painting the ears a fleshy color originally but I was having trouble getting the area where the flesh color meets the green color to look good. I will try to figure something out for that.

Also I am having a bit of trouble with paint flow. When I paint the edge highlights on the scales they do not go on smoothly so I end up having to do several layers of color, and since I do not have a steady hand, it comes out looking too rough. Any suggestions?

@JMR: I hear what you're saying about the river trolls. They would make great nurgle trolls but I am a bit disappointed that the poses are the same. Oh well
