Commissioned Gun Jeep (image updated)

Unless I get change requests back from the client this one should be ready to go. The conversion work was done by GreyDeath of the \"Work In Progress\" forum -- and the commission was for a Tier 1 (aka gaming standard) paint job.

I put some extra work in to the body of the jeep because it was 1) a real pleasure to paint and 2) good practice for my weathered black.

The mud glaze was done a bit thick intentionally as I thought a gun jeep would have a bit more than a touch of dirt in the corners. On a Tier 2 model I might have gone so far as to glue \"mud\" along the lower portion of the jeep if the client wanted it.

In the end quite pleased with the result. I hope the client is as well.

Looks really nice :) I am sure the customer will be happy with it ;)

One small thing I think to improve it would be to add some weathering (maybe an ink wash) to the flamer tanks on the side - at the moment they seem to be brighter than the other metals.

Solid painting. Keep it up.

Cheers,
Tom

Nice, is the body mainly a speeder with wheels attached or is part ffrom something else?

Besides a bit of weathering on the tanks as already mentioned they also look very silver including the brackets and the skulls so obviously needing a bit more work but I also noticed that the same can be said for the gun and grenades attached to the pack on the back of the jeep.

I really, really like this model! But a couple of things are off, imho :)
Shouldn\'t there be some mud on the rolls of cloth underneath the driver- and passengerdoor?
And the car lacks suspension! Try looking at some of the Baja vehicles: http://www.mcmillinracing.com/off-road-race-cars/cars.html

Might serve as inspiration for the next ones :)

Jeez guys, it\'s a Tier 1 job - suspension would be too much to ask IMO. You\'d need to kitbash a whole other kit which would drive the price up... I think it\'s pretty neat looking, even though all the above critiques are bang-on.

I did not do the conversion. That\'s in the post and on the image itself. The conversion is not my work. The model came to me completely finished and glued with everything where you see it.

I am going to go in and do a black wash on the fuel tanks and the las gun on the back. I overlooked that.

Because this is a Tier 1 paint job -- \"gaming standard\" -- there isn\'t a lot of extra weathering. The model *should* have no more than 3 colours and drybrushed highlighting. I put extra work in to the body simply because I was inspired to do so -- otherwise it would be sprayed black and drubrushed Codex Gray :)

As for mud on the bags. Yeah, there should be. But these bags are covered in Scotchguard - so mud doesn\'t stick to them.

@War Griffon: yup, Land Speeder body.

Thanks for the feedback, all. If I ever do make one of these models I\'ll keep the suspension in mind, Sp0n.

UPDATE: I replaced the image to include the black wash.

Yeah - reminded me to think some more about the Genestealer cult armoured limo I had... :D

I also got this one up on the votey page. Link on the Discuss Submissions page so that I\'m not creating two threads on the votey link.
