commissions and physics

A while ago, I started painting again after a 14 year break and realized that, while back in the day I got commended at the golden demons, these days I just plain suck!

So... I now collect all the cool old minis I used to know and love as well as the more interesting new ones.

Before now, I\'d never had any commission painting done so I didn\'t know a lot about it.

My question is this really... why does the time between getting an e-mail with the completed mini photos and getting the mini in the post seem to take FOREVER!!!

There has to be some quirk of physics that slows time down after you get the photos. :(

If you do, how do you deal with this?

Also, do you all get separation anxiety when you loan minis or send them away?

I havent sent a mini to any1, but if I\'m waiting for delivery of something I get the \"I want it, I want it, I want it now\" stamp my feet feeling. I\'m not sure if theres much you can do apart from bite your lip and sit it out!!!

Don\'t know about that, but I do get separation anxiety when I send away a mini I\'ve painted for someone. Especially knowing that I\'ll probably never see it again in the flesh! :(

I\'ve got something similar. If I don\'t have something coming, I get a little depressed that I don\'t have anything to look forward to in the mail. And buying cheap things just to have something delivered has always been a possibility in my mind, but luckily my wallet slaps me back into reality. eBay is not my friend! lol
