Comp Probelm

Ok i don\'t know if this is the appropriate place to put this, but i have been having a computer problem, small internet problem, maybe some of you may help me out.
For the past 3 weeks or so, not sure exactly, whenever i try open a link in new window, that link never opens, when i go to the task list it says iexplorer not responding, and i have to end for the computer to function properly.
This is a real bugger, as on coolminornot, i always used to look at the nice images and used to open the links to see the bigger ones, now i cannot do that anymore, and it is not just this website, it is the same with all the others. I do not have a firewall on, so what might be the problem, i just hate it.
All the info more than appreciated, in urgent need of an expert help, i really need it.

Have you run any type of a spy sweeper program like ad-aware.. sound like you have a bug in the system. You can download it for free.. I run it weekly.

Also download Firefox as a browser(also free)..much better than IE

Ad-Aware is a good start. I use it and Spybot S&D both, as above, once a week.

Additionally:
Assuming you\'re using Internet Explorer..

Click on Tools (at the top left), then on Internet Options -
Under the General tab, click on Delete Cookies and Delete Files.

Lastly, if you browse a great deal, click on Start, Accessories, System Tools, and at last, Disk Cleanup. Then, when that\'s done, do a defragment on your hard drive.

Time consuming, but helpful.

what is a defragment, i followed your steps and did a disk clean up, what does the refragment do.

I have an adware, did a scan, no nasty files, still the same prblem.
Also never heard of firefox what is it.

i think they are talking about mozilla firefox, an internet program. i just googled it and downloaded it off the net,

i am downloading it now too, about 27 minutes left, am, how do you use it, and what do you need for it, just a normal connection, and do you have to pay browsing and using it, it would nice if it works, it would save me all the stress, seriously.

i have a normal ADSL connection and i have never had to pay for it, all good

I still have I.E on my comp, and use it sometimes, just for fun
It preforms the exact same as I.E, although it is a lot safer, and easier to use, it also has many special features

This is one of the terms and conditions of mozzila, what does it mean, i read it 4 times and dont get it.

Also check you dont have a pop up blocker set to extreme settings, I had one that never let me open links in new windows

Only if you paid any licence fees (the and any bit in brackets) then they will pay $500 plus the licence fee you paid
