Hm... I am a little confused. This one is the first Persecutor I have painted, and I got a score of 6.6.
This guy is my second one; I think he looks a lot better than the first one, but he only received a score of 5.8 - about 1 point less.

Don\'t get me wrong, this is no attempt to have my Persecutor voted up, I am trying to see the one point difference. As I have already said, I liked the second one better, but people seem to think different. What do you think is the key difference between the two? The filigree is a little unclean, I can see that in this closeup, but not on the actual mini when looking at it - or the first one\'s score is too high and the second one actually has a realistic score

One possible reason could be the number of votes. They\'re fairly low, so you might have been rated by different populations having different artistic standards.

Way too many factors can go into the score, but actually I like the color choices on number one better. They seem warmer and more \'eye popping\'. Like I said, this is probably one of many different reasons there is a difference.

I have to agree, the first one looks better - looks a bit \'warmer\' and \'cleaner\' than the second one. Of course, it could be because you did a closer shot.

Come on, Mosch...surely by now you have learned the essencial mantra concerning votes; \"Before fifty or more, ignore the score!\"

IMHO they are both worth 7...and I gave them such.

Mosh, the first one looks blended while the second one looks dry-brushed. The people see the first one as more skilled

I think it might be all of the above: pic, technique, fortune, whatever.. but I also think the axe was better on the first then the second.. I think this may be a matter of blending because it looks like we can see the layers you painted on the second one.. I know for a fact metallics are hard (which is why I don\'t use them much) but I think blending them smoother and upping the contrast between the filagree and blade would help in my opinion..
