Discovered something today that some of you folks might be interested in. One of the problems that some of my figures have suffered from is the complaint that they are too dark. This was especially true with dark colors but it was like I had done no hilighting at all. So things like dark blues looked almost black with no definition. I couldn\'t understand this because the pictures I had submitted didn\'t have the problem. Now I recently posted the same picture to two sites and later went back to read the comments. And I was really shocked at how dark the picture looked, and it was even worse at the second site. And that\'s when I noticed that the picture had been resized at both sites. And the net effect was to make the darker colors really dark. Now a simple brightness/contrast adjustment fixed it but having the submission comply to the site\'s size requirements in the first place would have solved the problem before it came up. So knowing that ahead of time might solve this problem in the future.
