How does one delete spider solitare from a computer.

My father and I are now at war, and that fat geek needs to actually do some work instead of playing card games all day.

I assume you\'re running Windows and that the solitaire game in question is one of the games that comes with the Windows installation (haven\'t really checked as I never play).

- Go to the control panel and click on \"Add/Remove Programs\" or whatever it\'s called.
- In the dialog that comes up there\'s an icon to the left called \"Add/Remove Windows Components\" or something similar. Click that one!
- A list with components comes up. Find one that says \"Accessories...\" something. This one should be checked. Click on it (don\'t uncheck it, just click so it gets highlighted) and press the \"Information\" button.
- This will give you a new dialog with a list containing \"Games\" and \"Accessories\". Click on \"Games\" (don\'t uncheck it, just make it highlighted) and press the \"Information\" button.
- This will give you yet another dialog containing a list of games. Find the one in question and uncheck it!
- Press the OK button on both the new dialogs so you\'ll get back to the first one.
- The \"Accessories...\" component should now have a grey checked box next to it.
- Press the \"Next\" button and there you go!

@matty
Ordinary programs are just as easy to remove on a Windows computer. But this game comes with the Windows installation and Windows components must be uninstalled in a certain way. It\'s not really difficult... takes no more than 20 seconds.

getting them to run is sometimes a different story...

I have windows, have had for years. Little boogers are more virus prone than a kindergarnder sucking on the water fountain spigot.

Here is another way:
Delete
\"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\dllcache\\spider.exe\"

THEN

\"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\spider.exe\"

all gone :) no hope of it EVER coming back

Oh my word, that is like sooooo 80\'s. Things have moved on a bit since then, mate. Now it\'s slide, click, slide, slide, click. Slide, double-click. Slide, click, drag. Slide, click, slide, click, slide, click. And that, I\'m sure you\'ll agree, makes a whole lot more sense. ;)

Your fancy Mac gui is built over UNIX. Under all the slide-click-drop-pinwheel-ctrl-apple-backspace is the best the 70\'s had to offer.

awk, grep, sed, yacc, lex and nohup. It brings a joyful tear to the eye.
