Conan in 28mm

With this Conan talk, I'm thinking I'd like to paint me up a Cimmerian...

Anyone know a good looking Conan-esque mini in 28 (ish) mm?

I really dislike the Reaper's 80s style Marc Singer type models, I want more of a brutal warrior, less a reject from a Man O War heavy metal gig.

Like this from Andrea (swiped from Ittoogami's Gallery) Just in a proper scale! I do kinda like the Arnold look...

Well, damn, sometimes these things are right under my nose. That's a pretty good one! I'd sculpt long pants and add some hair....

Conan the Prancer? LOL....actually, other than the goofy pose, it's not too bad....I wonder if a gritty paintjob (which is the only kind I can do) would help non-girlie that feller?

If you are this toned, you wouldn't have armpit hair....hair on a very muscley body looks wierd

Yeah, but the hair doesn't just fall out does it? Maybe the muscles push it out. In todays age, I'm sure those guys shave, but I can't imagine Conan manscaping....

That last dude, while massively cool, doesn't really make me imagine Conan...

Check out the (now defunct) Celtos range, there are some great barbarians there. Chronopia might also be of help....

Not forgetting Rackham's Sessairs...

you could have painted peter bell's (avicenna) lovely version - couldn;t find it when i posted!

Can't speak for all of them, but most of the SNBF bodybuilders I know get waxed before a show. They still grow body hair. There are a couple that don't really need to wax, but they might not be prone to growing body hair no matter their muscle development.

in my experience, all the body builders i have dealt with are roiders and therefore hairy as hell but they shave. this leaves them all stubble and vaguely tarantula-like.
