but how bout back in my day? cause it was back in the day for me. i was like 12. then quit cause i hit puberity. no fun when fencing. i tried to get back into it later. but it didnt work. so it was back in the day

Airhead, it\'s actually a little off-putting at first.

When I briefly took up fencing, it was odd at first fencing against a female, as the sounds were different. A chest shot on a guy made a \"whump\" sound, whereas against a gal, you heart a \"POCK!\" as you hit their protection pieces inside thier uniform.

Nothing like becoming a tad red-faced as you \"score\" against a girl, only to hear the \"POCK!\", and realize you\'ve just poked her in the breast.

Mind you, I was a teen at the time, so easily distracted and embarrassed.

I found it rather worse to get hit by a girl - with a POCK! noise. And then they have the audacity to salute you with the epée and smile... yes, you can see a smile and a wink through the mask, and it\'s evil!

Nah, I got me own back though; the poor girl couldn\'t wear mini skirts for two weeks afterwards.

I learned to fence in the midwest in junior college and then went to a big east-coast college where people had been fencing since birth practically. I started to pick up a bad habbit from my team captain of having my left hand hovering somewhere around my stomach. That habbit was cured when I got hit on the left hand once. I didn\'t think much of it until next pause when the director asked \"ready?\" and I happened to glance down at the stream of blood running down my thumb and onto the piste. I had to ask for a time out to get a bandaid.

p.s. not my worst injury either.

HAHAH, wish i had kept going i still can, and thought about it for the summer.
its great excersize.

i didnt think you could have your hand over your tummy, isnt that a red card?
maybe you have to be touching the vestments.


but back to the PYP: i like how we get to see new pictures, like arthur and the space marine...you just learn so much about people.
