man...... Went and saw Iron Maiden tuesday.... AWSOME show... they played the entire new album (a matter of life and death) then at the last song a giant tank turret rose out of the stage and the barrel pointed at the crowd and then eddie came out of the hatch and started looking around with binocs. after the new album they buggered off only to come back and play some of their older stuff. during 1 of the older songs they had a 12\' tall eddie walk around the stage for 1 of the songs was pretty cool \\ fun. afterwards we went back to a friends house and well he mentioned how we should go to another 1 and we both agreed blind guardian would be fun... well out of curiosity (as i only have 20$ to spend) i looked up ticket master.. sure thing their playing! ticket price? 15$ US AKA i gots another concert to go to :D

I saw Maiden back when I was 16-17 or so....They are incredible in concert. In fact, one of the better shows I\'ve seen.

Im not very into the type of music they do, but my dad has seen them 6 times or something when he was a kid.
The best concert iv ever been to was John Martyn with me old man, small venue, and i was with LOTS of \'dads\', but the music was fantastic!

Best Concerts I\'ve been to:
Robert Cray Newcastle City Hall Around 1988. He was on stage for the full 3.5 Hours and played nonstop. Superb, even better as I\'d skived off work to go. ;)

Runrig St Georges hall (?) Blackburn around 1995 great concert, great band and great audience atmosphere. 3.5 hours over far too quickly.

I\'ve been to so many bloody gigs!
Incubus was prolly the best and worst. They played exellently but an ex decided to turn up and bring it all down. When they played \"The Warmth\" and \"Drive\" Accoustic I was ready for cracking up! lol
I met a nice new lass though. Hooray for pity!!! :p
And Garbage...Gigs are exellent venues :)

Are you sure that isn\'t just the TicketMaster surcharge? lol

Heh... I got two free tickets to see Nazareth and the Headpins in Red Deer last week. Made the wife\'s day as she had really wanted to go.

Sadly, I was more interested in seeing 3 Inches of Blood in Edmonton, but no free tickets for that show :(

The absolute best live band I have ever seen is still Judas Priest. BOC was a close second though...

Yup, I did see them way back as well, and they were outstanding.

I have never been a huge AC/DC fan, but I was blown away by how good they were in concert.

The best I have ever seen was probably Queensryche in their OPERATION MINDCRIME tour.

If you ever want to see a singer masturbate on stage, don\'t miss Green Day!

Note to self: Miss Green Day concerts.

Best concert I have seen were the Hammerfall concerts. First one was great, another one of my favourite bands opened (Virgin Steele), then Hammerfall rocked. During the show, they would get out a DB-meter and tell us that there were rules on how loud they are allowed to play, but no rules on how loud we were allowed to scream. He told us how loud some other places got, then asked us to finish the refrain he would sing. We \"won\", but it was pretty close.
A year later, I was on another Hammerfall concert and there was the DB meter again. Interesting thing was, this was in the very same hall they played before and the singer still knew our record - which, by the way, we topped :D
It was a great show. It started with a big Hector (Hammerfall\'s mascot, a knight with a large hammer) who would come onto the stage and smash hs hammer down on an anvil at the very same moment that the drums set in. A little pyrotechnics here and there and the band would be lifted up onto the stage and seemlessly play the song.
During the concert, they switched instruments for fun. One of the guitarists would sing and the singer would play the guitar. Sounded pretty evil :D
Only downside was that the sound was way overdriven.

Ah.... good times.

I saw Maiden too at \"Rock am Ring\", it\'s incredible. You can actually feel that they love playing.

....I need to find a concert to go to.

Hammerfall would rule. Haven\'t seen them yet, but they are on my list of must sees, along with Blind Guardian and now Primal Fear for sure. Just FYI, Hammerfall has a brand new album out called \"Threshold\".

\"Diabolus\" off of Primal Fear\'s latest album is a phenomenal song, and I cannot get it out of my head.

I prefer to go to clubs with live DJ\'s rather than gigs, Jacue Sheraqu (spelling?) that was amazing! 10pm til 4am! (if you dont know him, he\'s the one who does the music for the Citreon ads with the transformer cars)
