It is about time that i post something on this topic as well. The only thing that i can say is that i NEVER EVER expectet to break my own old record from last year. I really could not believe what was shown on the screen and of course i am very exitet about this price. I herewith would also like to thank the whole commiunity for your nice comments and support over the last years here on CMON. I personell believe that such a auction result ( more than 3500 clicks on the auction ) is finally good for all of us. It shows that collectors are willing to pay prices wich no one of us have ever expectet. I remember back that about 4 years ago USD 300,-- for a mini was a huge amount.

Text I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THE SNIPER WHO VOTET DOWN MY 5 TOP MINIS FROM 9,7 TO 9,6 LAST WEEK. HE NEEDS MORE THAN 30 VOTES PER FIGURE TO MANAGE THAT. THANK YOU AGAIN AND BE AWARE THAT IT IS NOT MAKING YOUR OWN WORK ANY BETTER.

Cheers

Good going, there, Fredy! :) This is quite encouraging! Maybe fantasy miniatures are finally starting to move closer to historical when it comes to collector value.

I loved that piece, Fredy. I really tried to get it, but the other bidders left me in the dust at around $850.00.
If I had kept bidding, I would have had a beautiful miniature, but my wife would have left me.....:D

I\'ll keep trying....8)

Kevin.

Congratulations, it shows that there are collectors out there who will pay out.

Not many people who are into collecting painted figures are active on forums like this.

I am just pleased I have been able to buy 12 Golden Demon winners over the last few years!

Regards,

Neil

Congratulations! :D shame about the sniper:|~ , what a dickhead he must be :duh: but it didn\'t have an impact on the price. :) Well done.

I\'m one of the few that \"pursues\" painting in addition to collecting figures--that\'s probably the reason I stay active on the forums.

I\'ve just always felt like that I give the hobby a little extra support by supporting the guys and gals (or at least making feeble attempts to) that paint these wonderful pieces.

I\'d like to think that my minor efforts to provide that support play a part in results like this. I guess it\'s somewhat a selfish goal---but I\'d like to see the hobby grow to something that someone could make a living doing, provided they put in the effort.

This piece of Fredy\'s is a great example that the community appears to be growing to that level.

frikkin nutts... it\'s insane...

The guy that won, if you take a look at his purchases, I\'m wondering what he is doing with all thoes minis! He is buying army after army and center piece after center piece!...

Great job on the mini, would never have paied that much myself, but I\'m happy for you that someone is willing to ;)

Keep em coming!

One thing, could you make a tut. for snow bases? ;)

Superb!

Wonderful price for a wonderful figure. Congratulations Fredy!

I wouldn\'t be surprised in the future (probably far future) if top-notch painted minis like this attract the attention of proper auction houses in specialist sales. They already have them now for the collectible \'toy\' market at most top houses and this is a logical extension.
