Congratulations GW: zombies

I have the zombie boxset from GW, i\'ve never painted them, only because there were so many other models that are sculpted much better (in my own opinion, of course.) But i recently started painting the new vampire counts corpse cart, and the zombies on that is great! Hopefully we will see a new zombie boxset in the same style.

Yes the new GW Corpse Cart zombies are fantastic. Unfortunately i wouldn\'t expect a brand new regiment set sculpted in the same style anytime soon. Apparently producing plastic boxed sets is a very expensive and time consuming process, so GW decided to produce regiments that would boost the sale of units such as Ghouls or Dire Wolves that where not exactly hot sellers before. Unlike the zombies, couse even though the old zombies regiment set is really crappy looking(its a very old regiment mind You, one of the first) its the most easly available one and the best value for money since most fantasy zombies of other companies arent really that better(with some exepctions) and most great looking zombie models out there are non-fantasy post apocalitpic ones, and even if you do find some good fantasy ones then they are usualy hard to get and expensive. But people need zombies, lots of zombies(especially with the new rules) so GW will propalby live that old crappy regiment couse it will sell like hot cakes anyway.

Am I the only one who likes the old zombies?

I\'ll concede the corpse cart ones are quite good and a regiment of them would look better than the old models but despite having humungous hands the old guys still have tons of character.

I liked the old ones too, you could get loads more than 20 out of a box too. Lots of bases with arms sticking out of the ground lol

I tend to use the Zombie sprues for bitz and have never actually built a full zombie out of them. Personally, I still like the Heroquest zombies best but that\'s just me geting all nostalgic.
