We\'ve got very disorganized paints here too. We just leave them sitting on an old library desk that is also serving as an aquarium stand in the kitchen. This was working fine for us....until our 19 month old got tall enough to reach them. Now, she grabs a few and plays with them like very colorful blocks, and since it keeps her busy......well, I let her. This is very much how a after-the-kid-has-gone-to-bed conversation may go between me and hubby:
Him: \"Hey babe, where\'s the Mithril Silver?\"
Me: \"Ummm, I think I saw it under the crib......if it\'s not there, check the toy box.\" lol

Becca, head to the local WalMarx and find the plastic bin isle. There is a three layerd desktop organizer from Sterilite. (I think it is for paper - about 1 ream / drawer) It is next to the rolling drawer units, but smaller.
A set of GW will fit in one drawer with the metals and inks in the next.
Oh, and I store my GW paints upside down. That way I can see what color it is - maybe that is why I have such trouble with the tops?

I actually have one of these but bigger, and I have so many paints that the weight actually warps the drawers so I can\'t fully close them.

Well, my paints are stored in a shelf in a sort of chaos order, mixed with random WIPs and some junk. I sort of know where I put that red gore last time, and hopefully it\'s still in the same place so I can find it Luckily the shelf is at eyes height when I sit down, so I can easily see the colour of the bottle.

Don\'t sweat it...I once tried to respond to a quote in a completely different thread...I think I used up my blond moment quota for the next year or so. lol
I like the desktop solutions (those carousels are REALLY nice) but does anyone know a way to keep Vallejo/ Adikolor bottles organized when you travel? I regularly go somewhere else to paint, and those eye-dropper bottles are a lot harder to keep in place than the GW pots.

when i\'m on the road, giving demos or tutorials, Ifit my GW and Vallejo paints in a GW figure case withough the foam in. It holds not just the bottles, but my brushes, mixing pallettes, basing material, green stuff, sculpting tools and pva. I use a small a4 sized mini case to transport the minis

The solution is to plan ahead. I have a travel painting kit: lunch-box sized plastic box with handle, brush soap, 3 brushes, tissues, cup, and then I put in no more than 5 paints. Plan ahead what colors for what minis and then you can put the minis and colors in the kit before traveling. It worked great for painting my orks: Black, Brown, White, Reflective Green, Rotting Flesh (all my non-VH paints have been transferred to dropper bottles).

a lovely 1 gallon fern would do nicely to set of the wonderful color int he back drop....in a old fashoned terra cotta planter, or maybe a dash or china?lol

That\'s not a good desk. Minis don\'t like it at all when there is no clutter. It gives them nothing to hide behind. If I\'m not mistaken, one hated it so much he went and hanged himself from the lamp.
