Contemptor Dread

Just about finished my Contemptor, but having real problems with the decoration on the two shields, one on the arm and the other on the leg. Any hints or tips for free handing a Grey Knight styled design? Any comments welcome, this is my first post on here so be gentle.

Woah... cool paint job man. cool paintjob. For the shields... Somehow a little red icon might look particularly well there. The thing that somehow immediately popped into my mind's eye was a little red heart with a single blood drop falling off it. You could always stick a black sword into the heart for contrast. ^^

If you have any extra shields to practice on(or if your comfortable using the ones on the model, do that), lightly sketch the design on with a pencil. Then thin some black paint or use micron technical pen to paint/draw the outline of the design. Using thin paints, fill in your design with your color choices. Touch up any part of the outline you obliterate with your colors.

Nice tip, Bloodhowl, never thought to use a pen to black in some lines. Will give this a go and see if i can do a reasonable job.
