I moved my setup outside so I could get some better pictures in the sunlight- it makes the muscle definition I painted stand out better than the older pic.

This guy was converted from one of the old 1998 Obliterator models. I had a lot of fun with this guy, as he's the most extensive conversion I've done to date. I think he turned out pretty good.

The base was actually a test piece on a technique for making an asphalt base for a different mini. It turned out so good, that I had to use it.

Nice guy but I was expecting something a bit better with the muscles even though I know it's quite hard to paint muscles. I really like your conversion. Good luck for the auction.

I replaced the original pic in the first post with a different one I took using natural sunlight for my light source. My daylight bulbs were washing out the tones of the muscles in the first picture- this one is much closer to how he looks in person.

Hi Cregan, congrats on getting him done. I don't think your pics show off your work at it's best though. A more neutral background colour would help & I'd really like to see a shot with the camera directly in front of him rather than above. I'm sure a couple of the, now vanished, images in your WIP showed off the muscle painting better too. Lastly, if you go for a vertical rather than horizontal montage at about 300 pixels wide (slightly bigger than current) then I'd be able to see your painting better & the Gallery wouldn't require me to use the Magnify button (a minor inconvenience admittedly though I'm intrigued as to whether people who miss it/don't use it & just vote on the shrunken image might score models consistently lower).

I gave him a 6, might have been tempted to a 7 if I could see him better :)

PS Some text beneath the Gallery entry explaining the conversion might help with score for those of us who aren't familiar with the original model & just assume you mean the addition of the missile (I've seen the WIP so know better). Oh, and definitely mention the charitable auction element!

I've got all the pics for my tutorial sitting on my hard drive... I just haven't done anythig with them yet. I'll get them all cropped, do the write up, and get it posted to WAMP sometime this weekend. I'll put a link in here when it's up.
