cool bases or not ?

Hello everyone was just hopin to get some feed back on some bases I\'m putting on e-bay. I would like to start making them on a reagular basis so far I have about 16 complete. I\'m trying to make these with the painters in mind by give them little tid bits of detail more so then other pre done bases but still simple enuff to fit just about any kind of mini. please let me know what you think and what could I improve sorry for the bad pics

They look nice! the only thing I would point out is that the brightest green grass is more an astro-turf fake grass color. You might want to darken it a touch. Unless it just comes off that way in the photos, but then fix the photos!

actually this could be a good subject to run with. @torath your bases are good, just maybe need some more depth and individuallity to take them away from the rackham \'motif\'
i am interested on how others base their minis because as the demons are coming closer we are all searching for that wow factor, and most of us draw blanks on the base.

anybody use any weird stuff on their bases or any set formula to make them that extra bit special?

Howard your bases look good however I think you may need to send me some for closer inspection .

Seriously though what Eric said is a valid point the grass is a bit too bright, fix that and I think you are onto a winner.

Fisrt thanks for your comment. I did the grass like that on purpose but thats why I posted them to see what could be fix or changed and now looking at it the grass is a bit bright. Wanted to give it some contrast maybe just a bit to much so what would you suggest for the colors I work with Citidel mostly how about hitting it with Catachan Green then lighten it up with Goblin green?

Dark Angels Green and then Snot Green with a slight touch of Scorpion Green might do the trick.

Thanks a bunch Tidoco that does sound like good grass formula (man I don\'t have a single one of them) Right now I\'ll mix some up for the mean time but for convenice I need to get to the store and grab them greens. Anything else that could use improvement? and I also have some in snow too but there not queit done yet

Ok here\'s more of a selection and I touched up the grass. Lost the http on the other pic But I\'m sure those who seen them before can tell the differance. Please if there is any thing else I can fix please let me know. Once again bad pics found some bilbious green think that is the old name for scorpion green and that made a big differance in the grass

bilious green is actually a bit lighter and yellower, but they are almost the same!

Thanks I did\'nt know that I had some ghostly gray then went and bought some space wolves gray and too my eyes they look the same so I figured that this was the case with these greens :bouncy:
