Like Hero clix ?
Well, at least some people would be delighted to have minis sold that way, and they\'re mini producers....

\"Yeah, this army for WB took me twelve years to collect and I had to sell my eyes to an organ dealer to afford the price\"

It\'s a funny cartoon talking about the new prepainted D&D minis. I\'m a little biased -- I\'m two away from a full set.

As a miniature painter, I gotta explain myself. I\'m been holding out on DMing for a while because I always get held up with the \"Gotta paint my minis!\" mindset for the campaign. That can be 60+ miniatures for an adventure. Now I have hordes of miniatures that I can carry around in a shoebox, so I can spend time painting the miniatures I care about -- like the PCs and main enemies -- or designing a good adventure.

And now I don\'t have to watch in horror as a player\'s wife drops my recently finished 7+ miniature on to their ceramic tile kitchen floor. ;)

Bah! Useless, common, random minis.
True, they maybe useful to use for cannon fodder. But it get\'s real confusing. I for one, like to see what I buy.

If they get real smart, they\'ll start making MORE common beasties, so I won\'t have to keep using orcs for bugbears \'n whatnot.

I always want to know what i\'m buying, otherwise I don\'t get it.. heck, even if there is a great description of it, I need a freakin\' image. I\'m the onw whose going to paint it, so I like to figure out a paint scheme before it even gets here!

I\'m with Chrispy here. If I can\'t see it and get a feel of the dynamics of the pose, I won\'t consider it. I\'ve looked at open boxes of the D&D new figs, and honestly I wouldn\'t spend my money on those. It\'s not just because they\'re plastic either. I\'ve got some of the metal D&D figs and the only one I like is the Black Dragon. The rest are pretty ugly, even when compared to early 80\'s Grenadier or Mize\'s Menzoberranzan box set. The poses are strange and ackward in appearance and the faces are... well, I guess we know what an average 10 Charisma is now, huh? lol

The black dragon is sweet! Any one know if they\'ll be adding pre painted dragons to this range? It\'ll be interesting to see how \"good\" those are. :|~
