Cork

So I have begun to notice that there are different types of cork and I am having trouble finding the kind that I need. Here is a link to one of Franciuus\' works with the type of cork I am looking for http://www.coolminiornot.com/110102

The cork I currently have is sheet cork but does not get the same effect as the cork in the link. I guess I need big pieces, not sheets but I am having trouble finding. THanks everyone for your help.

You can get floor tiles that are quite thick at home stores. You can get wine and champagne corks of varios types and sizes from a variety of places, wineries, craft stores, etc. Craft stores will be horribly over priced compared to other places, but if you\'re only needing a couple cork stoppers, it wont be too bad.

You know...those look like the redwood bark that they sell for mulch. I think it\'s the medium sized ones.

A large art supply store should have different size and kind of cork. Just last week I saw some that are in cubes.

That kind of cork is Cork Bark and sold in Model Railway supply stores.
Works nicely as scenic rock faces, but can drink Primer and paint faster than a parched man in a desert.

I tend to get all my basing materials now from Antenociti

I just got a couple of really rather big bags from them for under £6 (inc. shipping). I suppose if you\'re outside of the UK it might be slightly more expensive, but I do recommend them - they\'ve always given me really good and quick service!

pva cement mix and spray bottle mike
cheap as chips and seals it nicely.
