cork

Hai all,
I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get cork for creating rock texture on bases? Like on this one:

Its not the best example, but I couldn't find a better one. A specific type of cork would be appreciated to, but I'm looking towards where I can get those cork tiles.

hardware stores / decorators store for tiles (it looks like a standard cork floor tile broken up) or model railway shops for larger chunks....or try an art supply store

best i have found is cork from wine bottles ,cork coasters and cork boards. i think i got some cork from a craft store it was supposed to be used to hold a plant on it.twas cheap also.
cheapest is if you now someone that drinks wine. that way you can get some height.

I found plain cork coasters at a craft store here in the states for pretty cheap. Not sure what is available to you in the Netherlands. If you E-bay, check this link to some in the UK. Seems pretty reasonable, and enough to do many bases...

Cork Tiles are a good option.
Most are around 4mm the depth of a GW slotta base (Very handy that).
Deeper ones are available through Ikea as Plate Coasters (Four for a £1 if I recall correctly).

You're from the Netherlands too, right? I got mine form Xenos, cheap and good sizes.

well if you where in U.S. ide say Joans or michaels. but you should be able to find some in youre local hardware store.
