Very nice sir :D. I especially like the sword coming out of the, um, thing (looks like Rackham has a thing for \'things\' lol). A mini-forge, maybe ?

Awesome! There\'s not much to say other than the fact that is your best mini yet!

What colours did you use for the gold?

Nice job, so smooth the glow on the dagger looks excellent. I quess I\'d better get my butt in gear and finish the one I posted in the work in progress thread:D.

Thanks everyone! :) I noticed the pic is a bit rough (I had to compress it quite much to get it below 100k), but it still looks decent, I guess.

@Nelson
The gold on the hilt of the dagger was painted with a base coat of Ochre Brown. I highlighted it with Light Sand and White. The I applied some Light Green Grey (I think) for some weathering. Finally, to add a bit of OSL, I glazed the edge near the blade, where light from the coal would hit, with some Orange Brown and highlighted it again with Light Yellow (I think that\'s what it\'s called) and White.

Thanks Donga! The leaves are Hudson & Allen stuff, you can get them at the CMON shop, but it seems they\'re constantly sold out (that\'s basically the situation everywhere... :( ).

Great job both in painting and in basing!

Those browns are really good and have a nice contast with the cold metal of the sword, and the sculpt itself is full of tiny details.

One of your best, i think!

I think that \"thingy\" is a censor - a small pot to burn incense. I guess that he is blessing the dagger by sticking it in the hot coals of incense? Sounds like a good way to ruin the temper in a blade.

BUT, I love the paint job. The dagger looks like it is coming out of a pot of glowing coals. Well done.

Well, hot coals sound as good a place as any for a censor. Damn PC police...

Thanks everyone for your comments! Those mean a lot to me!

@Airhead
I guess it does ruin his dagger, but he has lots of spare ones at home... lol

Anders you are a genius I am sure. I have voted and commented. I wish I could paint Rackhams minis halfway near as good as you.
However I cannot and my collection fills a draw of unopened blisters.
Great work I look forward to seeing more.
