Countdown time.....GD UK.....who's going?

Well peeps and painter's there is 28 days to go till its that time to show off your models and look over other's
So...who is coming down to the NEC to GD UK?
And if you are coming, what are you going to be entering?

I do believe we will be there.

Not got tickets yet tho cos i haven't deccided which store deserves my money most yet ;)

@Tommie Soule - It says on the GW website that they've sold out of GD tickets, but the local stores may still have some. If you know for a fact that your local shops still have some then no probs, but otherwise I'd phone them and check. It'd be rubbish if you put it off and they sold out.

me :D as its my first GD is it wise to bring a army (so that if your bored you can have a quick game) or would the case be too big to move?

I seriously wouldn't recommend bringing an army, you will be hated by all in any and all queues and around the cabinets, if you get bored go for a pint. Also if I remember right you can only book hour slots for a table which isn't really enough for a proper game. There are lots of participation games you can join in with if you get bored and all the mini's are provided for those. I personally wouldn't risk the hassle of carrying it round all day or potentially having it wander off.

Not this year, but hopefully next year and my main catergory will be the Open. I need to step up my painting skills and aiming to make it to second cut standard if possible. Look forward to seeing the photos and everyones reports and entries. Good luck to all.

yeah im going. Entering 4 categorys. open, vehicle, 40k monster and duel. Ive been painting since april, taking it very seriously this year but still shouldnt get my hopes up you know what a lottery it can be. just working on my Duel category entry at the mo so nearly finished.
will people be meating at the bar? i was so board last year just wondering around avoiding all the little kids.

I will be there (and my brother) though it's looking unlikely that I'll actually have an entry as it's not even been fully undercoated yet! That said my better half may be kind and let me work until the early hours for the next few weeks...

Bought my ticket today, got a large scale, vehicle and 40k single entry, two of which are pretty much finished. People will be meeting at the hotel bar, and there is going to be a painters dinner/bar trip the night before, more details to follw i'm sure
