well i just screwed up two minis BIG time! i accidently used gloss.... i know some of you gloss then matte because the gloss is stronger... but.... if i cant get it to dull down... eny sudgestions? im REALLY pissed \\ scared :drool:

i wish it was that simple the gloss is REAL tough stuff, the bonesinger and ranger look like they\'re gonna pull through tho.... *is still a bit worried tho and saddened* hopefully theyl\'l rate well once i get them posted .... so far it doesnt seem like theres all that much damage done to them...

There should be no problem to put dullcoat over the gloss. I know some military modelers who purposely do a gloss coat FIRST (I think it makes the decals stick better) then finish up with a dull coat. Seen the results and they look VERY dull.

yup...i\'ve done it myself with no problems....just start with light dusting of dullcoat, and add more layers if needed.

I always coat my minis with gloss coat for toughness, then dull coat over that to matte it down. never been a problem.

several layers of dullcote will do it. Just let the previous layer dry completely. Whole proces would take you couple of days. You put one layer in the morning and let it dry till evening. then cover again in evening and let it dry overnight

well they dry now and here they are... not posting on CMON as i still need to gloss the gems and then get pics with a better background but this will have to entertain you for now...

They look ok to me. I have also done similar and use 2-3 coats of dull to get em back.
