Crawler

I've started a new sculpt based on a scribble I did a few weeks back:

The creature is intended as a transitional stage in the mutation from Mad Clown to Creepy Mouth Monster *.

The armature was 28mm (or 32mm) scale (can't quite remember which...) but has worked out smaller than intended. I'll probably use this as a practice piece before restarting with a bigger armature.

Here's my WIP anyway!

Well, thats not nightmare inducing in the slightest...

Seriously, that thing would have stopped me sleeping for weeks when I was a kid! Good Job! I kindof imagine it moving in an almost stopmotion jerky way, you know, just to make it even creepier...

well that me sleeping with the light on tonight.

Thanks guys!

Face is coming along. Also been refining the body shapes more and working on some minor details that will be revealed when I photograph the finished piece.

Gee Zab, Why are you so afraid of clowns? See above. Nice work, guess I'll be sleeping in the "safety closet" tonight with my blade...

The Crawler has been gathering dust for a little while, but the end is in sight! I plan to send this sculpt away for casting with my Puppet Monster and my self imposed deadline is the end of next week. With that in mind I'd love to get some opinions on the work so far:

I still have to finish the hands, sculpt the frilly cuffs and tidy up the underside. The sculpt measures 30mm long and sits neatly on this 40mm round lipped base.

Looks good very dynamic, don't know if its the picture but seems to be a couple of marks under his bottom lip towards the left hand side, keep up the great work !
