critisism wanted

That oop skaven warlord, is just fantastic 9 for me

Dwarf, I like the strong colours and the NMM 9 again

The tau 8.5, I think he could of done with a little more colour contrast, but well painted.

Hi,

Very good paint job. Like all three minis and my favourits is the skaven and the Banner of the Dwarf.

But you asked here some critism. ;-)

- tau ethereal
The main thing is the white robe. This looks very flat and the Gold on the robe is not enought sepatated from the white. Some outlining would be good. As well it seems that you shade the white on the back of the mini with the same colour you used for the ornaments. Thsi looks very strange. Face and guns are perfect as well all the gems
- skaven warlord
Think this is the best of the three if i look on the painting. Some more hightlights for the amor. The robe needs some more as well. The shading of the robe with the black looks to strong. Maybe some dark brown works better and the black only for the holes in the robe. Highlight the border of the holes.
The fingernails are not separated enought from the rest of the hands.
- dwarf standard bearer
the standard is nearly perfect maybe some more reflections on the gold parts and some more shading but nothing realy i can grab. regarding th edwarf i can\'t say to much becuase therefor the picture is to smal. In this size i would say maybe the white of the hair looks a bit flat. The plaited beard does not realy spring into my eyes.

Tau: More contrast! In this case: sharper highlights on the face and head and deeper shadows on the white robe.

Skaven: I\'d work more on the robe. Brighter highlights on the shoulders and maybe a colour shift towards the torn hem as if it\'s been stained with mud and dust.

Dwarf: The hair and beard look a little too uniformly white. I\'d work some more midtones in there. Otherwise, I\'d like to see some close-ups.

Good work all around though! And the photography seems really great!

Damn nice! I always find it hard to give criticism to someone who is obviously better than what I can achieve, but I will anyhow....

The Tau is my favorite of the bunch. Very solid paint, just a few of the areas on the back of the robe seem not as smooth as they should be.

The Skaven...I think the claws should have more contrast, as should some of the face areas...that will give it more pop.

The Dwarf...that standard is great, but a few of the \'hot\' spots could be a bit brighter. The beard on the dwarf seems a bit off.

Take these criticisms for what they are worth! These are very nice figs, you should be proud of yourself.

i like em all. my favorite is the skaven. i think it could use a more fitting base though, and the parchment could use some work (yellowing, spills, diagrams etc).

the only thing i can think of for C&C is that the bases let these minis down. they are very nicely painted and deserve better bases.

@funny mouth, the skaven\'s scrolls and robe (not cloak) are full of little symbols and text. it\'s diificult to make out on the picture as the lines and symbols are tiny!
there is some stains on them as well but they don\'t realy show in the picture.

but thanks for looking.

i had to make the bases more generic as they are for sale and not me. otherwise i would have used 40mm round bases and gone to town.
