Cry Havoc Vol. 2

Anyone else bought this?

I liked the painting articles and the scenery article, but I could just cut and paste Petexxx1\'s comments about volume 1 from this thread and they would apply:

I liked the painting articles in volume 2 better(painting rust and some alahan warriors) than volume 1, but since I don\'t play it\'s too expensive for me to just use as a painting guide.

Anyone else had a look?

Got it today, in fact...

I think it was a better issue than #1. There were more painting stuff, and the terrain article works as an extension to the one in #1. I\'ll probably never play Rag\'narok, but I still like the strategy article, because it shows great pictures of all the minis in different views. The magazine is a bit on the expensive side, but I get more out of one issue than a whole year of WD. I think it\'s worth the cash. :)

Love it to bits

I really like Cry Havoc and will continue to collect them. In fact, I\'ve bought two copies of each - one to keep and one set to \'man-handle\' i.e. use as a reference and playing guide etc.

I have Hybrid and recently bought Nemesis from Propaintjob\'s shop - hoping to play over Christmas :D

I know £15 sounds pricey, but its a quarterly publication, so I guess you can match it against GWs £4 a month price-tag and personally I think Cry Havoc is a much much better publication - both in quality and content :D

Cry Havoc is absolutely awesome! Wonderful magazine... but in reality magazine is one hell of an understatement! With the quality of the print and the size of them I am surprised they dont call them a quarterly supplement for Ragnarok and Hybrid!

DAMNED good and worth the money!

I think white dwarf subscriptions everywhere should be up for some competition!

I have to agree with Avitoosh :D

I don\'t game, never have and never will, but the whole publication just reeks of quality! The painting articles are very useful, and leave a lot of creativity up to the reader (ie, no specific colour mixes). The terrain articles are inspired.

The rest still has great pics, and interesting background stuff, something that has over the years made the GW stuff so interesting.

definately more book than mag!

I have both the first and second issues. I loved them so much I sold all my Harbingers on ebay and will not be puchasing any more until they can live up to this quality.

For some it\'s not a money issue . I am glad to pay for that High a quality and the workshops totally Rock!

I have cryI waiting on #two my only comment is that mine broke at the binding seam and the pages are loose. Seems to be a problem if you use it. Paper quality is awesome to the touch. I don;t care about the breakage for it as my favorite as well thus far.
