Hey guys and girls, it's been awhile but I've got the urge to paint some of the many models on my desk. So here is the first one I tickled with paint last night.

WAHOOOO!!! LOOK OUT BOYS! THE GIRLS ARE BACK IN TOWN! (Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head the rest of the day. *sigh* I will never learn.)

Welcome back Crys! Paint on girl!

Very, very nice! The hair detail is just a wee bitout of scale. But it's really, really nice. Excellent color depth. And I did the same thing with the scale on the hair detail...scary huh? lol!

Not bad for my second time of using oils and first time on that scale. That was last years effort, putting skills to use on traditional breyers atm.

Love the way your going with Orion. Horse pics were fantastic. I thought they were "hang on the wall" paintings till i scrolled down to the green floor. You should show more :)

You're definitely rockin' it with the horsie painting. Very impressive how fast you picked it up. Lot's of fun to see ya advance with it.

Crystella with all the green Ivy I'd suggest that you invest in some Vallejo Transparent Yellow (& Green).
By painting single leaves with differing but close in colour temperature a tiny amount of those paints you can make individual ivy leaves really pop.
And since ivy can be so very variegated in colour on one plant it adds to the overall effect.
