Finaly got a project finished :)

I am tryign to improve my standard of 28mm painting. Ive only done a few before, having mainly been messing with badly painted 20mm and 10mm for the past year or so.

Anyway id appreciate any comments on how to improve or what looks good http://coolminiornot.com/284724

I think you are off to a great start!

These cultists are very cool, I'm going to have to get myself some as well.

Nope, I believe I remember..>Black Cat Bases. I've got a whole list of items I've been wanting to get from them, so what's a few more? LOL.

Appreciate it!

What's next on your painting table?

Ok time to think about shadows and highlights.
The cultists are figure with enough fold in the clothing to make the shadows/highlights a very good exercise.
As a start consider that the light falls on each figure from 45 degrees, that will allow you to place the shadows accordingly.
A rough guide in this picture shows where highlights need to be considered.

From there you can plan out your next piece of work or amend what you've already done.

Thanks for the pointers, so its a matter of over emphasising the highlights and shades. Its seems to be a common mistake i do, all my west winds are the same. I suppose im worried about over doing it. I lll see how my next ones turn out.

:)

Take care

dont think it could be thinned much more than what i had. The only other thing is maybe the undercoat. I used White gesso and was happy with the results, but im also going to get some white brush on primer see if that makes a difference.
