First one I finished last night. He\'s been sat on the mantlepiece, primered for months, but I\'ve put off doing him until I had the time to do a proper job.

Really nice Cyborg, Scott. Has to be my favourite of the bunch. Really like the ripples in the puddle beneath the rock.

And have to say I like Robin - having a 7 year old gives me good excuse to watch the Teen Titans, and really been getting into it lately - so well timed; how big is he?

Like the Cyborg and the colors, very different from the \'norm\' and I think top notch. The base makes it really stand out.

Others are good as well, but the Cyborg stands heads above.

These are fantastic Scott.

I think you have become one of my favorite painters on this site, your sense of color and tone are rivalled by few, and your work is almost instantly recognizable as a \'spacemunkie production\'.

I have a question on the NMM vs. Metallics...which of those two minis did you find the most challenge with? NMM certainly works much better to your style, but did you find working with real metallics to be easier/harder/the same?

I spent quite a while on the cyborg - the others were quickies.

@War Griffon: The ripples are sculpted GS. Love these WM style bases because of the recess. They\'re ace.

@Vike: The metallics are easier to paint as I find you can just slap them on, but they seem to take longer with all the washing/glazing and re-highlighting. I still like metallics when they\'re done well. I need to get a really bright metallic highlight colour - like a metallic white. I rely heavily on contrast, and quite often struggle to get that with metallics.
Any suggestions?

Wow. Been and voted on all. Stellar work. The closest thing I have found to a metallic white is the metallic medium from the VMC line (I think). Just use it straight from the bottle, although I suppose you could mix in a dab of white if it wasn\'t bright enough for you.

@space munkie- Have you tried vallejo metallic medium? It will give you the freedom to really add in whatever color you like to make a mettalic color, altough sometimes it makes things turn odd shades. Overall though i think that should work for you.

I really like your work, special compliments on the cyborg. Nice animated feel to it with good blending and some great detailing.

Use Humbrol metallics for the final highlights. They go much brighter.

The Cyborg is great, you\'ve really done him well. For me, the little detail that really brings the piece to life is what you\'ve done with with his foot on the rock. How you\'ve sort of bent the \"toe\" down, and with the ripples perfectly exicuted, it brings a sense of animation to the piece as well as a feeling of \"weight\" to the piece.

So many minis are sort of just placed on a base, without having that feel of being part of it or interacting with it, and what you\'ve done is a perfect example of how a good base can really breathe life into a piece.

Awesome work!

Now do up one of those Female Cyborgs, I\'ve been dying to see other versions of that one!
