ok, here\'s some stuff that will help you loads I hope. first of all, get some dullcote sealer to knock down the shininess of the paint. also, black is a tricky color to use. you have the highlight black just like any other color but not too much or it will turn grey. something else that the jack could use is some washes on the metal to make it darker then a little bit of highlighting to give it some contrast and it kind of looks like the rock on the base isn\'t finished yet. Oh a thing on bases, don\'t build up the base too high or it will look very bad, that my two cents from personal experience. hope all of that helps.

thank you mathew however there is no black on him to highlite second I did use a matte finish to seal him imo metal should be somewhat shiny the metal was washed in a tamiya smoke to give it a little age as for the rock the pics dont show it very well but it looks just like the rock I moulded it from so really not much I can do at this point but your comments will be put to better use on my next one,thank you.DD

Try black washes on the silvers and brown/black washes on the golds. These will add instant shading and help alot. The rock needs more highlighting in areas. try drybrusing with greys up to white, with reds,purples,and greens inbetween layers.
Good attempt though. TT standard.

I rather like that redish black color you used but some more highlights would have made it pop more. Still it\'s good quality and better then my crap.
