Hi fellas, a friend of mine has given me one of these soft plastic figures to strip and paint. He has been sitting in Dettol for 2 days, and is none the worse for wear (in the UK, so no pinesol!). I have searched these boards but I can\'t see anything about stripping these soft figures, so I am a bit worried about using anything more caustic. I have no idea what they are painted with, but it is pretty thick and gloopy, probably mixed with something to keep it pliable.

Any ideas?

I think I recall a couple of stuff to strip heroclix minis. The same stuff might work for your mini. Otherwise you can try some break fluid, it wont eat away plastique and it has worked pretty well for stripping minis. Good luck :)

...

Acetone instantly dissolves the paint on WizKids minis without damaging the plastic (but will MELT the clix bases). I haven\'t tried acetone on the WoC minis yet, I\'m guessing it will damage the plastic.

The WotC board has a thread which says that you want to use Model Master Acryl Dried Paint Solvent (#50495). I haven\'t tried it myself, but here\'s a link:
