oh yeah, you gotta post indi pics in your gallery of these guys. the group picture in no way does them justice.

now that i have seen this thread i like the idea of them even more. like an army of Ben Grimm\'s.

So, Saturday my LGS had their Lucky 13 makeup event. This was a \"paint a member of your army\" event. The idea was to bring in a primed mini and \"finish\" it in order to get your stamp, signature thingy. Stupid me, I brought in the ork weirdboy. Big model. Very big model. I actually got alot done and it was \"close enough\" that I got my qualification. but here is that nights work (about two hours worth):

WIP01.jpg

He is obviously still a WIP, and I hope to finish him either today or tomorrow.

Yep two hours. The red primer make all the difference in the world. I drybrush the skin and the metal, then layer the skin. It saves loads and loads of time in the long run.

The closest I have found to a DA green is a charcoal grey, which is still rustoleum, but its auto primer (wet/dry sandable). Its what I used on the bikes themselves rather than the red.

Also, speaking of Bikes: Vote Linky
Give it some time to get approved as I just got it set up.

do they do other colours?

like ones close to Dark Angels green?

if you wanted to try you could check Walmart. they have/had a dark green spray in their ColorPlace line. also a Fire Red, and Red Oxide Primer...for about $1 @ 11 ounces.

waiting on bikes to become active to see those close-ups....

No close ups, sorry. Same pic. I am too lazy.
well its a close-up compared to the group shot. :p

and now we can vote on them!

i wonder if now you will need to make some soda cans and palce them on the bases. \"They are orange from the amount of soft-drink they have consumed\".

i can see an orc now carrying a backpack that is full of orange soda, or the army mascot a Killa Soda Can.

They are from a fruit based agro world, not Waponi Wu. (cookie to the first one to get the reference)
And yes I suppose it is a close up relative to the big group shot.lol
