Hi all!
just posted some pictures of the rat i\'ve been working on the last few weeks, would be really nice to hear some comments about it as i always try to improve...

had a bugger with building it the bits and pieces fit poorly and the mini looks really awfull without a ton of greenstuff...
cheers

Very nice - I love the colors!

And I hear ya - right now I absolutely HATE wings, superglue, and greenstuff. ;)

thanks alot, used lots of bright colours, mostly (gw) hawk turqouse, scaly green and lich purple (can\'t live without those colours!) but i didn\'t wanna loose the shabby feeling of the ogre, think i succeed fairly ok:)

really love ogres, hope for new ratty ones when the skaven update!

He\'s great! I don\'t recall seeing a rat-ogre I\'ve particularly liked before, tend to flick past them.

I suggest posting the pic as well as the link in your forum post, this is a great piece but these blank looking \"please vote\" pages sometimes get glanced past! How lazy eh? only one click away!

Congrats on an awesome Skaven piece.

Let me say, as a fellow Skaven painter, that this is brilliant. The tones are nice and subtle and everything works well together. Really nice work. Keep it up.

Oh my... this is one great looking Skaven!

I am really interested in this gory dripping blade effect you created, could you share the recipie?

thanks:)

the gory-dripping-thing-effect is created by first gluing a hair - i prefer a cat-hair as they are much thinner (so i finally found a use for them!) then cover it with some vallejo water effect.

after drying it\'s painted with tamiya\'s red (the best for painting blood ive used so far) mixed with some black, and some chesnut ink (gw\'s) for alittle more brown-ish look.

haha, insane!!
Do you think my pet dog\'s hair would do the same cause he wouldn\'t be excited with me messing with the enemy\'s hair lol

Thank you for the tip!

Hi thanks all!

the skin is basecoated teracotta (gw), shaded with scaly green(gw) -> scaly green+black. highligted with elf flesh(gw)+white if i remember correcty- but there is a ton of other colours to get more skin variations, mostly liche purple(gw) and cavalry brown (vmc).

cheers!
