Im using a cut-up old black t-shirt as background. Anyone suggest a different material that is less fuzzy?

R4M, you are coming along very well as a painter. I see lots of improvement.

As to the background. Try a scrap of velvet from the local Jo-Anns or a photo card from Colonial Photo. (20% gray or there abouts.) or check my sig for a link to dragons tutorial on photo tents. In there is a link to a printable blue-white fade.

I used the blue/white fade on this figure.. http://www.coolminiornot.com/168379.

I made it in photoshop and printed it at work but I think its to light and thats why I didn\'t want to use it.

I also now wished I would have added a 3rd stake as it would have made it a bit more believable and dramatic.

the whole thing is done quite well. the nmm on the blade is good but a bit grainy. try some more transitions before finishing it.

cheers
