Me too. I'd have like to have met all of the guys there, though especially Mike as his 'Eavy Metal work inspired me as a kid. It still rings in my mind to this day.

I hope Golem Studios will host a day for the southern jessies sometime soon :p Manchester is difficult for me to get to these days as train fares are pricey.

It was near Nottingham dude, I know train fares will still be pretty steep but shouldnt be as bad as to Manchester?

Thank you very much for the day guys, it was very nice to meet four very top class mini painters, (who also happen to be friendly, approachable people, who seem to honestly love talking about painting), the maelstrom venue was fine and personally I came away with exactly what I hoped for.

Get feedback on the mini I brought, advice regarding what I was working on, a demonstration of the techniques I felt I needed, and an opportunity to practice these techniques with one-on-one step by step guidance whilst referring to the tutors top quality completed examples was exactly what I wanted to do on the day and this is what I got. The highest quality and authority of tuition was always beyond doubt and that really made the day.

I'm not surprised that the first two questions at the end were "when's the next one?" and "why not have two days?"

Thanks again - it's really appreciated and well done on a great day.

:)

ps: guys, your work is just awesome, it's great to see it up close, photo's don't do it justice.

Thanks a lot thomas! we want next year better so all the feedback is ace!

Maybe something for the southern jessies is in order, can't let the norwegians and estonians make all the effort and hog all the fun ;)

Me and Mike will brainstorm some ideas.

Hell yeah, looking forward to it already! after coming back from your place tommie i was feeling pretty gutted i wasn't able to go to the actual day! An event in london would be great and if you need specific location ideas, I hear Epping is a lovely place!!!

And I have to agree with TomasP - seeing such high quality work up close and for real certainly beats looking at photos which was all I had done up to the point of seeing Tommies stuff.

Ged it on GolemPS!!!

Hi guys! Posted some feedback on the Golem forum, just some thoughts for helping you making the next event even better. Here I just want to stress that the event was well worth the trip from polar bear country :D

We are sadly lacking the kind of painting deamons and godesses that Tommie, Dave, Mike and Ali represent. To learn from them first hand, and finding them so friendly and enthusiastic really made it the hobby event of the year for me. Thanks for your efforts!

Now. How do I get hold of that t- shirt? :p

Cheers Oyvind

So long as my brother in law don't move of course Epping is great - but Cornwall is better lol!!! I'm a country boy at heart but I don't mind Epping, the town is okay and there is a bit of green stuff about, and I don't mean kneaditite either. Not too close to London, but not too far away either! Perfect or perfick as they down in the westcountry [/jedi mind trick]
