Daemon Prince WIP

I have started a scratch built DP for my chaos army. Thus far I have a sketch and a torso with arms, and am working on a head.

My sculpting skill as suspect at best, but I am very hopeful my time as a comic artist serves me well in the anatomy department.
Here is a piccy of the WIP as it stands:

And a little PS doodle of where it may be going (though the actual sketch would be better if I could be bother to scan it in):

Obviously the axe will be a bit more... well, more. The legs will be backwards jointed (like a dog\'s) and he will be rearing back as if to strike.

The head is giving me fits ATM, but it is a good exercise in patience.

As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.

(And if you are curious as to any construction details you can visit my website and look in the Work in Progress page)

this might get me shot but have you considered just converting belakor? he has bare musclled chest with chaos star and backward pointy legs. Or will this guy be much bigger than belakor?

Your sculpting skills are far from sketchy though, good work on the torso so far.

He\'s actually a tiny bit smaller than Belakor. (I have a bel-akor on my shelf, and I have plans for him. Oh, yes. I have plans muahahahahaha...)

I wanted the DP to be a bit closer to a SM in size, and Idon\'t want wings. While Belakor\'s wings probably wouldn\'t stay in the bitz box too long, I want them for him specifically.
TBH I did draw some inspiration from the model.

Is it just me, or does he look a bit like a Biker-mouse-from-Mars? :D

Nice work on the torso fella :)

Remember though - he\'s a daemon - twisted by Chaos, so you don\'t have to follow scale or anatomical restrictions :D

Ah yes! That is why I picked chaos for my first real scratch build.
