This is the first thing I've done in a year or so.. first attempt at painting flesh also.. just a little display I made up for my friend for her birthday. Any help on ways to improve would be nice :)

At this distance, it looks like it could use a subtle hue shift for some part of the body (maybe a paler lighter tone?), be it the claws, chest, whatever. It's a bit too dark and flat-two-tone now, (the black shading contributing) I think, making it hard to read. Daemonettes are said to have bright pastel colors, but you can of course pick whatever colors you like. I could see dark working.

I wish these Daemonettes were still available. I like em better than the new ones.

Good start. I've never been a fan of that lichen stuf fon the base though. It pulls away any realism you have achieved.

Could use a bit of variety on the demon. The skin different to the claws. Maybe take the skin a few shades paler with highlights, and the claws a few shades further towards red with some inks.

Hard to see, but can I make out a dark indigo purple in the shadows? Might be an idea to pick up, or mix up, a couple extra purples. Highlighting indigo with a violet is a bit like highlighting blue with a green, they're close but different enough they can look a lil weird. Then again if anything is well placed for a lil weird it's a demon. :)
