HI all.

Iv decided to set up a thread where i can log my progress and gain valuable C&C from all you lovely people ^^

Currently im working on my terminator squad. Making them true-scale (seems to be the in thing at the mo :D) and also building a 'Brothers in arms' diorama for my local Games Workshop competiton.

I'm actually on my 4th Termi ( 2 are up in my gallery and the other was stolen by the manager of my games workshop after winning a competition with it >.<).

Il get some photos up later today or tomorrow of my current Termi-in-progress, as well as my other next to a normal marine.

Cheers, Dahl.

Ok, heres a few (dodgy quality) images of the current project.

Hes more of an industrial Terminator rather than the regular ornate jobbie. The scale is 2mm above what would be concidered truescale, but i think it looks a bit better.

The light green putty is Milliput, Brown is brown-stuff, and the dark green is Games Workshop green-stuff.
I find that the brown-stuff gives a better finish when filling a gap on a smooth surface.

The plastikard for the shin guards is heated over a toaster and molded around a spatula handle that just to happens to be the exact 'roundness' as the terminators shin ^^.

Im not entirely sure what to do for the bare surfaces on the chest and legs. I want to keep it more industrial rather than eagles and funky stuff all over the place. The current skulls on the left shin are there just to test looks.

some edges are still rough and need cleaning up, but im enjoying making him as i have the previous two.

Anywho, tell me what you think and any criticism is more than welcome.

Dahl.

Iv experimented with mixing different modeling putties and found that brown stuff and green-stuff to a roughly 2:1 mix, makes for great free hand sculpting as the brown-stuff helps keep the putty from warping as you work on a nearby part.

added to the chest a little with my chapter symbol and some tech, still thinking what to do to the legs.

the piping on the thighs might bulk up the legs, just roll out the milliput to the desired thickness:bulgy-eyes:

Been remodeling my other two terminators to follow Zosimus's template as i really like the proportions that he ended up with.

a couple of updates, been a while due to college work :<

First off is this fella
WIP5.png

still working on detailing the chest and legs plus need to add rivets here and there.

Secondly is this guy
WIP6.png

Note: the image makes the eagle on his chest look really short of detail due to the bad camera, but it is there.
he also has a magnet set into the top of hos armour for the Cyclone missile launcher, which also has a magnet set it its underneath.
thinking of trying something different with the shins compared to the others, not sure what yet though.
bodies are of course magnetized.

C&C of course welcome!
