Dark Angels Marine Veteran

hi to all by Ilmarion. This is the second miniature posted on cmon by me. This is a Dark Angels Marine veteran. I've used a assault marine for the internal structure, part of legs and arms. The other parts, the external plates of the armor, are made with milliput. The colors are only acrilics. I have choosen the style cartoon of the dark angels avatar but the drawings are more intricated with Baroque inspiration (and my immagination ). I love this mini and i hope you'll like. absolutely solid painting, but there is so much painted freehand details on this mini my head hurts :dazed:

unfortunately the pictures are a bit too bright.

Beautiful technical painting, for me the freehand is far to overpowering, less is more. However as a show piece it is very impressive, top job.

Can't really fault the painting work and freehand.... although its a bit flowery for a Dark Angel, especially the pink drapes.

hi to all. I begin with thanks to everyone of you that have voted my work. I'm very happy for the various interventions and for your votes.
the pink color in this work is strange, i admit it, but is "funny" and the next time i'll try something of more dark, i promise
I have created a heavy free hand much detailed ( if you see this work from live you'll become crazy...in a 2,40 mm marine.... ) but sometime i love to work hard with details very small and this is the result.
I hope to have created a interesting work and good or bad, your reviews are precious, so thank you to all !

Good freehands but a little bit too much for me. Very well painted but the colours are a bit strange for a Dark Angel.

A wonderful looking piece Ilmarion, I really like it. Fortunately the Dark Angels fluff means nothing to me, so preconceptions as to appearance don't hinder my enjoyment of a fantastic piece of work. Congratulations :good: Cheers, B.
