Dark Elf Army

Hi Guys,

So I am someone who has been in and out of this hobby for the better part of ten years, and due to a lack of discipline I have never completed a major project by myself. I have decided to make a point of finishing what I started for once to prove to myself I can do it. So I decided to pick up a project I left halfway done nearly two years ago: my dark elf army. My painting skills are nowhere near holding a candle to most of the submissions seen on this site, but I hope that by logging my progress I can see myself slowly improve and also maybe motivate someone else who is in the position I was in to finish their own dust collecting unfinished projects. I have attached a general color scheme example for a couple of the units in my army and my general. Let me know what you think, tips of any kind would be really helpful.

Lovin' the guy with the halberd on the left, nice color scheme! I would do some more dry brushing on him though, just my opinion. I look forward to seeing more pics as army progresses!

Welcome aboard! These guys are a good start, especially the dual wielding one and the halberd one. I would suggest some shading on the bare areas on the shield to add the illusion of light and depth, and some more washes to the face of the single sword guy.
Definitely some good work so far. The freehand on the shield is pretty darn good *jealous*

Oh it is? I like how the effect makes it seem freehand instead of an obvious moulded section.
