Ok here is my second mini - just need to do the face now (dreading this) and a few highlights on the gold bits.

Not great I know but I feel an improvement on my first mini so all is good ...

The highlights are quite stark - maybe have a couple more layers, but for a tabletop gaming piece - a good standard

A nice, solid job for a tabletop piece. A whole army painted up to this standard would be pretty striking on the battlefield. Good work.:beer:

As Dan said, the highlights are pretty hard but that\'s okay (and sometimes even preferable) for a tabletop piece. More transitional layers would smoothe them out a bit if you wanted to move towards display quality (or for your heroes).

I agree, a really nice solid bit of work you have there. The face could use some more highlights, but great eyes. An army like this would look great on the table.

you have a nice, clean style which is an excellent starting block. just up the layers using thinner paint and you will be onto a winner!
