If you\'re going to sell, just make sure you put a damned good reserve on it. Don\'t take cheap offers.

Can it actually be enteredito a GD if it\'s a Reaper piece? Would it fall under an open category or some such?

I\'m still flabbergasted.

@Eric: Dont worry, if you change your mind just PM me. I am getting one anyway :D

& dont forget the reserve as Rev said, if you do sell it ....... i know it\'s for charity, but that is one of those \'breakthrough\' pieces.

lol no :)
gw rules strongly prohibit anything else than gw\'s stuff
not even bits or bases from other companies are allowed!
and entries must \"fit into the gw universe\" meaning that if you sculpt an wolfen entirely yourself and paint it to a slayer sword standart you still wouldnt win or wouldnt even be allowed to enter

I wish there was an all-in-one competition that was internationally recognised! Oh I do I do I do!

Maybe Harbinger should take it on at one of the big conventions?

I do I do I do!

Yeah, when I enter a GD I\'ll paint something just for it...

In fact I think I just had a idea for one, to use this mirror reflection technique in a different new way :bouncy:

Although it may take some converting, darn inability to sculpt!

my theory on this is: whoever administers the picture approval got a severe head trauma after seeing your picture :)

She\'s getting tremendous response there as well. I added a link where those there can also vote. :D

Stunning. She is absolutely stunning.

I need to get Anne Foerster to look at her.

Thanks Aryanun, it\'s silly of me, but I\'ve never really been to the Reaper forums. Odd with all the reaper I\'ve been painting lately. It\'s a logical place for the Maiden to find her way too!

Um, I\'m sort of new to the mini painting scene, SO, this may sound very uneducated of me...who is Anne Foerster?

Well I guess I was\'nt dreaming:D. Excellent.
How did you start with that freehand reflection, it must have been difficult, I was thinking about how you would do that and the only logical way I could come up with was that you used the shadow of the minature.

That is the best piece on the site now IMO. Absolutely stunning execution, and something that is far harder to pull off than even Victoria\'s light sourced masterpiece.

You get blase about good work here at CMON, but that model is groundbreaking I reckon.

Don\'t sell it. Unless someone offers you a four figure sum.:eek::eek::eek::flip::bouncy:

okok, I\'m convinced, it won\'t be for sale, my new solution to worrying less about asian recovery is to just watch and read less news! :D

okok, that\'s not a good one either

Thanks for the feedback Spacemunkie, although my brain still hasn\'t figured out how to process what it all means...???

Anne Foerster is the Reaper \"In House \" gets paid full time to paint painter of miniatures.

She\'s Vaitalla on the Reaper forums. Super nice.

You should go to ReaperCon 2005 in May. Yes, you should. And bring the Dark Maiden. Yes. :innocent:

hmmm, Reapercon...interesting thought, I may have to look into it. And I\'d love to hear feedback from Reapers inhouse, that would certainly make my day!

Ok, well she\'s also active now, so vote early and vote often! :D:D:D

It\'s been hit by the snipers

9.6 at 108 votes. If only it the algorithm had been put in place sooner, but now it seems it won\'t make the top 10. Oh I do loathe snipers...

@EricJ: I live in San Francisco (recently moved from across the bridge in Marin) If you\'d like to meet up at a local hobby shop, I\'d be thrilled! :)

I voted as soon as I stopped hyperventilating.

I can\'t imagine how you could think of parting with her. If the Reaper folks don\'t ask you to do something for them then they ought to be kicked in the collective keister. :D

...

9.6 is hardly anything to be upset about...

It is when the piece is clearly one of the three or four best pieces on the site. It deserves top spot I think.

After around 80 votes, it was at 9.9. Lets hope it\'s been One\'d a lot and that they get wiped!

New photos

Hi all, I\'ve been getting a number of requests for more angles, and a close up of the base, so I did a little more photography this afternoon and came up with a new image with everything included. I\'ll put it up here, but I hessitate to make a new official post with it, as I know some get really annoyed at multiple posts of the same figure. So the question is should I just make a new post for everyone to see, or just leave it in this thread for forum people?

Here she is again:

Thanks!

god i wonder how many envious ******** voted 1 on this
i come to think that voting should be limited to registered users.
if you look at the votes and views i hardly think that all the nonmembers do vote for these pictures, i reckon 95% of the votes are from registered users
i dont get how this works, click on a number takes exactly the same time that clicking on \"skip that image\"

edit: argh the top view from above the base kills!
btw how the heck do you get her to stick on the base? cant see anything like a pin or a slot
