Dark Vengeance Chaos Lord WIP

For the first time in ages, I've actually kept up the momentum of painting after I finished a project :) I normally burn myself out completely on a project and have no enthusiasm for picking up a brush for months.

I picked this mini up as a "one-off" as it was probably the first infantry sized model that has actually inspired me for months.

Apologies on the clarity of the photos - I snapped them on my phone before I left for work and they've not come out as clearly as I'd hoped, that'll teach me for relying on daylight from another room...

Still got quite a bit left to do though in principal I'm aiming for "slightly above tabletop" standard.

looking good so far. He looks more menacing in the first pic, though. Its interesting how that mini sticks together. I wouldnt have guessed the arms/shoulders/cape were one piece.

Cheers :) I'll try and get some more done and a better pic taken - the miniature does look quite menacing! The pistol arm and cloak are two separate pieces, but the shoulders, collar and cloak are a single blob of plastic.

The whole of the DV boxed set is really clever with how all of the models go together and although most of the models are grouped together on the sprue, some bits are actually located in a seemingly random place so that they all fit on properly.

Didn't get much new done last night due to sorting out dinner for last night and this evening and then helping my significant other dye her hair. However I did get a little done and managed to snap a better pic this morning :)

I've also begun to snip off some of the other Chaos marines and cultists from one of the three sprues. I'll get a full WIP up as the way some of the marines have been cut to fit on the sprues are mad!
