Dates?

I have looked everywhere and can\'t find the dates for next years GD\'s. Maybe they haven\'t been released, but it would be very nice to know when they are....

From what i have heard... the southern region got disbanded and is now the under control of the other areas... so there might not even be an Atlanta GD this year... *sob*

I seem to recall a while back on a different thread somebody mentioning that some of the State side GD\'s were being axed and something about regional comps instead. Also something about this applying to Canada as well as the States.

I don\'t know, it might not be a bad thing for the US to have a bunch of smaller painting events then just 1 GD a year, the entries may not be quite so watered down and we can work our way up closer to European versions

I Totally agree, I thought two GD in the US were enough when it was just Baltimore and then Chicago. To runa n even like that it costs a lot of money..I think they discovered last year that increaseing ticket prices to cover lower attendance back fired on them and even less people went. That and they thinned down the special guests per show..when it was one GD in Baltimore they use to bring over 8-10 guests now they just split that among 4 shows.

Plus for most people, unless your lucky to have one in your city..most either have to fly to it or drive a very long distance to get there so why not make it one or two Big events a year.

I say go back to just Baltimore in late June and a two day show again. They were the best.

I think maybe 2 GD\'s would do it, keep LA, (and move it into LA damnit, or near the beachs ), It\'s a long way for some of us to get to Baltimore

ya dont think you could afford a plane ride? Here is my argument im using to rationalize it.

Its an investment, put allot of effort into the entrys and be sure to win atleast something, then once you have won come home and sell the winning entrys. That way they pay for your flight and you are now demon winning wich will boost the demand for your work. Also you just do it all in one shot, go in the morning, enter the minis, grab some food and maybe a lil snooze in the lobby thing, then once you get your demons and models back you head for the airport again.

Anyhow i think my and my friend Tim are going to do that this year for the chicago, in adition to the LA.
