considering your picture on your profile . . . nah man . . . sorry I\'ll have to pass. Klingons just don\'t do it for me. Even if they are exotic from Africa and all.

Cons are never good for meeting guys.
Having been to a few cons in my time, I would have to confirm that, as they say... \"the odds are good, but the goods are odd\". I\'m sure it\'s gotten better in the interim but I distinctly remember that most in attendance were fat, neck-bearded fanboys just like I was back then.

Man, I was wondering what the hell made you find this steely, then I noticed all the \"Star trek babes\" type FMVs to the side lol lol

Sly old bugger!

Maybe we should all beg at Megs door and see who wins? We can make a shit ton of money out of it by filming it and selling it to Fox!!! *the royal \"we\" that is hehehe....*

Ah, I can see it now \"Beg Meg\" - a new 10 week reality challenge show where desperate geeks (us) compete in a series of challenges to prove who is the most needy and win the grand prize... a handshake from Lady Meg.

Oooh part of the challenge to Beg Meg though is travelling from your hometowns using only clues to find her door. It\'s Amazing Race meets Bachelorette meets Beauty and the Geek

It depends entirely on the type of Con, honestly. I\'ve had a couple of good girlfriends as a result of attending a convention, and the biggest strain/hurdle has always been the fact that they were long-distance relationships. At a Con, you at least know that you have common ground and an area of shared interest that\'s quite strong. That\'s not enough to start a relationship, of course, but at least it\'s better odds than randomly stopping someone at the mall or grocery store.

Of course, the Cons were I\'ve met someone worth dating have all been computer industry type things, which for some reason have a much larger variety of \"issue-free\" people than... say... Games Day or DragonCon. :D

Yes you are correct, the ratio of males to females is high for sure, always a lot of guys around so that should make it easy to find a willing participant. But here\'s the thing . . . BO, neckbeards, fat rolls hanging out . . . so NOT sexy! Even just shaving and showering regularly at cons will increase a males chance of attracting a female. At least dress presentably too . . . in the gamer world that means a nice pair of jeans, a tshirt that doesn\'t have wholes in it and sneakers usually. Again, simple things will greatly increase a males chance of attracting a female. Unfortunately, for females who have standards looking to meet a guy at a con is trying to find a needle in a hay stack that is as big as a barn.

:D:D:D

It\'s what I do. I\'m the one that leaked the word on it.
Also possibly one of the first people to utter the immortal words \" all men are bastards\" lol

Maybe if I give all of us a bad press I won\'t have to deal with crazy chicks and outright wierdos anymore!

Then again...there is you billy

wait do you mean crazy or psycho? Yes there\'s a difference. I mean I\'m definitely not sane . . . I like rolling 20 sided dice and painting little metal people so I\'m definitely crazy! But I\'m not psycho . . . it\'s the psycho chicks you need to stay away from :)

Ok yeah, my bad, I mean phsycho!
Crazy is good, that means fun...Phsycho means watching your back and your pet rabbits back... *shudder* I\'m a psycho magnet. THIS NEEDS TO END!

Conversly i\'m probably more likely to try and fit a d20 up my nose than roll it...Just to see if I can lol

Best way to shoot dice is out the nose - well known fact that it makes them score higher

These are many of the reasons I have never visited a \'Con.
Even at big-ish gaming events I always seem to run into either the one guy that wants to tell you his whole life story (including weird dreams) all in one breath, or I meet weirdo chicks that want to date you without even knowing your name.
The thought of going to a \'Con and increasing the numbers AND excitement...*chills*...I would be scarred for life. And that\'s saying alot considering I\'ve been to warzones and live fire exercises.

The first step to NOT atracting psyco chicks is to make sure you\'re not psyco too

Hey hey hey, i\'m in the crazy camp with Meg and everyone else!
I know I can\'t be a psycho, how else would I know THEY were a psycho??? Psychotic people think alike, I imagine if I was similarly inclined i\'d be happier than a pig in shit lol

But i just die a lil inside instead...thats the important bit, it that happens RUN because you\'ll find yourself a corpse soon enough @_@

Hah, what are you talking about? That happens to me everywhere, not just cons. lol That just happened to me yesterday while shopping in fact. It\'s so bizarre... on forums, I\'m usually ignored, but in person people go out of their way to talk to me, even if I\'m trying my damndest to put off my \"don\'t frikkin\' talk to me\" vibes (which is most of the time).
