it looks good but how does the game work ie. does it require resource management where you collect things like wood or iron to build your buildiongs and in turn your units? or do you pick a tournament legal 1.5 or 2k army?

Thanks, El Matador

If it\'s anything like the first one it\'ll be standard resource management RTS. Would be really cool if they added a Scenario game type though.

Game trailers are getting better and better and better. I think we can expect great things from the next animated sci-fi feature film.

Here\'s hoping we get one some day soon.

Unfortunately it\'s much like a drug addiction....except you don\'t get the track marks and STDs!

This one is going to have less resource management than the first one. It\'s focusing more on a small group of squads with some recurring characters. There\'ll be item drops for unique wargear. You\'ll also be able to play the game with another person. I don\'t mean the usual online thing, although that\'ll be there as well, but a co-operative mode.

Here\'s a few trailers, both cinematic and gameplay.

The oddness with DoW2 is that apparently single player campaign will not have any base building... craziness in a RTS imo : )

@Supervike - I can\'t imagine SC2 being made for consoles. The lack of hotkeys and not being able to send troops to a location outside of your viewing area would make it hard to play. I know the newest console controllers can have over a dozen buttons, 2 sticks and a pad, but that\'s still not enough straight hotkeys to play... at least not against the folks I play with. They\'re just too fast. : ) I don\'t think the game would be the same with simplified controls. SC1 on N64 was disappointing.

if theres no base building im assuming theres no reasource management so this will be a really strange game i think, i cant quite imagin how it will work as an rts or online.

With regards to the resource management as far I understood from a couple of interviews with the designers, they\'re going for a resource point type of model like in the original DoW, but further enhanced in a simliar way to Company of Heroes.

They\'ve not revealed too much in the way of the online game, but the campaign mode has you controlling a small team rather than a full army, which you can outfit with different war gear etc. I\'m thinking this is similar to your honour guard in Soulstorm.

Still great to see the \'Nids arrive - more things to shoot :D

Is it me or did the Seer look like Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith?

Have to admit that the Warp Spider\'s jumps looked cool, and the Banshees where Pam Anderson-ish in proportion.
This is looking good overall and it should be interesting to see which sells better, this or SC2.

Go play Ground Control to see how it works. It really makes you think about your tactics rather than \"Send them in. There are plenty more where they came from.\"
