I don't see any reason that they can't suffer from daze. Not a lot of monsters have defense dice, so it isn't going to come into play very often (and most of the time, if you daze a monster, you're just making him an easy target for the next guy's turn).
On a side note- I really wish they'd made a counter for daze. There aren't many status effects, but I'd have liked to see that one exist.
