Uh, Evil Dave, Wasn\'t there a terrorist bombing of a U.S. Ship a while back? People were killed in that one, I think.

Hey, i\'m about to loose my job and i\'ve been looking into the military. Talked to the Navy and Army but i figure you know the situation and could give me some insight. How bad are things over there and what branch is most likely to train me to come back alive? i know most of the Operation Iraqi Freedom looses are Army and Marines... (only 18 Air Force men/women lost) but what\'s the training for those guys like? i mean, they all can\'t be grunts right? i have pretty good ASVAB scores, but they\'re more than 2 years old so i\'ll have to retake them, but on the Army\'s sample i scored 96% against the current military. Any ideas for me?
Thanks,
nick-

So much for our commitment being remembered by our ally.
I\'ll cool down eventually, but remember there are more countries in this than the US and Britain.
I was in a weird mood last night; and here I thought my gay Navy comment was gonna start a rukus. lolOriginally posted by supervike

You are exactly right. We can\'t think of that war as only US and GB, many more countries are part of it too, and no one should forget that.
I have the utmost respect for the men and women willing to serve their country. It is a huge committment, and one that should be taken with much consideration.

I\'m glad you Navy guys didn\'t get insulted, I was just having some fun with that horrible impression everyone got after the Village People...![]()

If you guys believed everything you saw on TV then you would think you couldn\'t walk outside here in NY without getting shot at. In fact, I went through an entire day last week without having to dodge bullets...
Besides, that would be L.A., and mostly on the freeways... lol
