DEATH FROM ABOVE scratchbuilt Thunderhawk

So, pictures are a little bit blury, but I couldn´t wait any longer to show it.
Inspired by the Warseer thread from Lord of Skulls I started to build my own.
I used as many Cities of Death parts as possible because I´m very lazy ; )
I need to finish the bottom and upperpart, add the Heavy Bolters and some bitz.
And make decent photos of course.

Its rather cheap to produce, you need one of every CoD sets and there are still many leftovers to make decent ruins of it.
Some plasticcard, weapons and voila!

An interesting approach. Of course, it is staggeringly un-aerodynamic, even by Imperial standards

It is a thunderhawk for my Adeptus Custodes and it uses arcane and long forgotten antigrav technology so it doesn´t need any aerodynamics or other stupid things.

Nice idea, I think with refinement, the CoD pieces could be used for something even better

Well I wouldn\'t say Cheap to Produce, by my count there\'s a mininimum of two Cities of Death building sets been used which makes £30 quid. (although taken against Forgeworld\'s £375 version it is a great saving. )

Personally I think the idea is sound and looks Gothic and Impressive. I think however it is more suited to the Ecclesiastic Armies, Deamonhunters, Witchhunters Sisters of Battle etc than the Technomages.

OK, you pay 3o Pounds, but there are still many leftovers for decent Ruins, so its a bit cheaper.
Plasticcard and weapons are not that expensive.

As written before it is for my Adeptus Custodes. When I get a decent camera I will make some Photos of them.

yeah me too! i like the whole \'flying cathedral\' look to it. looks like it should be some sort of inquisitorial thing.

Looks like you\'ve put a lot of effort into it man!!! Personally i don\'t like it as i think it looks really basic but that\'s just personal taste
