death guard colour

hi there just a quik question,
im about to paint a death guard sorcerer so i decided to look though all the death guard minis on the site and im a little confused i thought that death guard (post heresy) was black but it seems that every mini i see is either green or some other rotten brown colour.

has my memory served me wrong, can someone clear this up for me.

death guard in pre-heresy were a cream colour. now they are all rotten so most people tend to paint them rotten colours rusty, greens, and browns them kind of colours but that doesnt stop you painting them black if you want to

Night Lords, Black Legion and Emperor\'s Children are very black heavy in their color scheme.

Death Guard are usually combinations of brown, green and bone. Lots of rusty/oxidized metals work too.

i just remember from 40k 2nd edition and 3rd i think the death guard 10 man boxed set they were black with green trim, just ashame that all my old codex\'s are packed away in my parents attic.

either way i think im set on black now, been going over the colour scheme in my head and i think it will work.

I did mine predominantly black with the odd plate in greens or dirty brown. Maybe if they ever broke out the armour polish they\'d find the original off white colour underneath.
